About (old)

Our gallery is located at Tower Square in Springfield, MA and is open for viewing during most weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM.

VPC At Tower Square.jpgWe are also an organization of photography enthusiasts with our meetings arranged via Meetup. Our members can participate in two yearly exhibits for a small hanging fee. (This fee helps pay for operating expenses we incur during the year.)

Here is our website page: The Valley Photo Center

…and here is the text from our Meetup site which explains our organization…

The Valley Photo Center Inc. is a 501c3 not for profit corporation located on the mezzanine level of Tower Square at 1500 Main St. in Springfield MA. All of our gallery exhibits, receptions, and noon time programs are open to the general public and are free. The Gallery is open Tuesday Monday through Friday 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM during the exhibition season from September through June.

You are always invited to attend them and the special meet the artists reception that are always free including refreshments at the receptions, of course donations are always welcome.

Through this Meetup group we want to do trips to trade shows and events including the trip to Photo Plus in New York City in the fall.

We would like to get together to make photographs in local and distance nature, landscape, and wildlife locations.

We would also like to do workshops in our gallery and on location.

If you make a $25.00 tax deductible donation or more to the VPC you also can enter two ready to hang prints in our either are fall or spring open submission shows. If you donate before September, 2015 you’ll also get a free “Portfolio”, our new electronic magazine, tee shirt.
